In honor of the release of My Shadow by Robert Louis Stevenson, illustrated by Sara Sanchez assistant managing editor, Sam Levitz, and editorial assistant, Kylie Brien,  decided to learn how to make some shadow puppets. Check out their attempts below!

Sanchez’s pictures are filled with humor and help propel this timeless poem into the twenty-first century. My Shadow is sure to become a bedtime favorite for the whole family.

For children ages 3 to 6, this is a wonderful read aloud as well as a quiet bedtime story. Parents and teacher will love exposing children to one of the classic authors in children’s literature through this simple and often humorous poem. The first time this poem has been illustrated since the 1990s.
